Wolfeboro - June 8, 2015

Hello everyone! Sorry my emails over the past few weeks have been sub-par. I'll do better I promise!

This week has been fantastic! I got transferred out of Maine already! I'm back in New Hampshire now in an area called Wolfeboro. It's a really summery touristy area. It actually reminds me a lot of the Oregon coast in a lot of ways. It's on a giant lake called Winnipesaukee. It's the promised land.
My new companion is named Elder Reed. He's from Idaho and he's great!

This week I experienced a MIRACLE! On Friday we got a referral for a guy named Corey. We tried to call him but we got no answer. We decided to call him later and went out street contacting. As we were street contacting a member from the branch stopped and talked to us on the side of the road and as he was talking to us a teenage guy came racing at us on his scooter. IT WAS COREY!!! He asked us if we were the Mormon missionaries and we said yes (obviously) and we introduced ourselves only to find that he was the same one who had requested a visit from us on mormon.org. He then went on to tell us that he just moved from Oregon and before he moved he was working with the Elders back there. Right after that he told us he wants to be baptized!!!!!!! It was amazing! The Lord definitely puts people in our path.

This week my district and I thought of a cool way to explain the gospel. Living the gospel is like riding a bicycle up a hill, the minute you stop peddling you're going to start moving backward and eventually crash. God loves us though so he gave us a motor to help us keep going. He gave us his son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins and shortcomings. That motor is available to everyone! the only thing you need is a key to start it. That key would be the priesthood authority by which we receive saving ordinances such as baptism and the sacrament. That's why the restoration was so important. So we could have the keys to start the motor which will help us get back to heavenly father.

I hope you all have a great week!

A new chapter of the journey! - June 1, 2015

Wednesday will mark 6 months on a mission and it seems that the
benchmark will bring lots of changes with it. I'm being transferred
again. Which is crazy. And I got word that I'm going to be a senior
companion. It's a big change but I'm excited about it! I'm not sure
yet where I'm going to go, I find out tomorrow. I'm excited for a new
area and the new adventures it will bring! I'm just about out of time
but that's the exciting news.

God speed,
Elder McKenzie

A very busy week. - May 25, 2015

This week was crazy! On Monday we had interviews with President Stoker. I really love that man. It was good to talk to him. Tuesday ended up being our P day last week and we only had about half of a p day because we had to hop in the car for a 5 hour drive to New Hampshire for a mission conference. We got to New Hampshire that night and stayed the night at a members home. It was really cool. we had a lot of fun. During the conference we got iPads!!!!! The iPads are really cool and they're gonna make the work a lot better here. They're a really nifty tool. Oh, and we also got a new car! our car was pretty old so they gave us a new one. It's pretty nice. On wednesday night we drove home and I ended up driving until aroundmidnight. It was a long day.

For the rest of the week we've been doing normal missionary work and all that. It's been good!

God speed.
